Margaret’s Note of the Week
I sometimes wonder what the world would be like if we were all a little more forgiving with each other.
Someone once told me that criticizing another is a person’s way of avoiding taking responsibility for their own unhappiness. That sounds a lot like politics to me. Two teams of people constantly belittling the other side as a means to promote themselves. All wrapped around a binary axle of good vs. evil. This good vs. evil is a poison in our society.
I don’t see much evil in this country. Sure, there are many examples of poor behavior but that is a different conversation. Instead, I see a lot of people hurting and trying to make sense of the world.
Let’s not add to each other’s hardships. When talking with neighbors or friends, don’t spend time telling them about your politics. Instead, ask them how their day is going. Better relationships and time spent could result.
Be well this weekend.
