Robert James Horne - Managing Partner

Robert is one of the foremost thinkers in health policy and published author with articles featured in Harvard Law School’s Bill of Health and Health Affairs to name a few. He specializes in thinking ahead on issues of markets and policy with a focus on healthcare.

He spent 10 years working on Capitol Hill as professional staff on the House Energy and Commerce Committee under Chairman Fred Upton (R-MI), and as senior health policy adviser to Congressman Phil Gingrey (R-GA). Robert began his career in the Ohio House of Representatives where he served as the Chief Counsel to the Committee on Health.

During his tenure he helped author numerous laws affecting the Medicare program, FDA for digital health/drugs/medical devices, the NIH, and Public Service Act. Robert has developed some of the most consequential laws and regulations governing the health care market including the 2015 law that modernized the Medicare Physician Payment System (known as MACRA), nearly 50% of the 21st Century Cures Act with a particular emphasis on the SOFTWARE (governing how the FDA regulates software as a medical device) and the information blocking laws related to the electronic exchange of health information.

Robert has extensive expertise in a range of health policy areas including FDA regulatory policy, digital health technology, and payment and delivery transformation. Robert Horne is now the President and Managing Partner of Forest Hill Labs where he works to reimagine the health care system and society as a consequence.

 Daniel W. Maley is a healthcare AI strategist with over a decade of experience. He is passionate about leveraging AI and effective communication to revolutionize patient care. As the founder of AI's Impact on Healthcare, he provides valuable insights into AI's transformative role in healthcare. His expertise in both healthcare and AI allows him to design prompts/instructions that unlock AI's potential, delivering accurate information to healthcare professionals. Sam Feudo is an aspiring physician and health policy professional, currently pursuing an MSc in International Health Policy at the London School of Economics. With a journey that spans from grassroots efforts in Ohio to roles at the NIH, U.S. Senate, and the White House, Sam embodies a commitment to public service and health reform. His focus on primary care and value-based payment reflects his dedication to tackling disparities and advancing health equity.

As Founder and Host of the "Understanding Healthcare" podcast, he facilitates vital conversations at the intersection of clinical medicine and policy. Sam aims to shape a healthcare system that is more affordable, accessible, and high-quality for all Americans.

Carl Williams - Vice President, Operations

Carl Williams serves as Direct of Operations for Forest Hill Labs (FHL). Carl began her career on Capitol Hill and now works behind the scenes managing the publishing arm of FHL.

Vaishu Labhishetty - Partner

Vaishu Labhishetty is an aspiring physician and recent graduate from The Ohio State University, with a major in Neuroscience and a minor in Global Public Health. Currently, she is working for NYC Health and Hospitals’ Housing for Health department as an Urban Fellow. From working in the clinical sector during COVID, to roles in public health research and policy, her journey shows a commitment to public service and reform. As she prepares to embark on a journey towards a medical degree, Vaishu is prepared to integrate her knowledge and experience to furthering her commitment to advocating for equitable healthcare access and policies that serve all communities.

Her current interests align with addressing systemic disparities in healthcare access. Vaishu is dedicated to making meaningful contributions to the field of medicine and public health, leaving a lasting impact on the communities she serves.
